It is probably more useful when dealing with other people's source trees, where you aren't as familiar with the code base.<BR/><BR/>It is also nice when working by yourself to be able to quickly run "git init; git add . ; git-commit" to add version tracking to any directory.<BR/><BR/>git-svn is also good enough now, that I use it to interact with all svn repositories as well.
